Driving across the pavement
A gate wide enough for a car is only half of off-street parking. To drive across the pavement you need a dropped kerb, and that needs permission from South Tyneside Council.
Height
A gate follows the same rule as a fence: up to 2 metres, or 1 metre next to a road, without planning permission.
